Successful completion of the certification works of JSC”Aircompany Alrosa” EASA PART-145

In May 2018 the cooperation of the JSC “Aircompany Alrosa” and JSC "Aviasystems" was completed, its resulted JSC “Aircompany Alrosa” was granted a European certificate EASA PART-145 for the right of maintenance of the aircraft Boeing 737-700/800 with the base in the city Mirny, Republic of Sakha  (Yakutia).

A cooperation with JSC “Aircompany Alrosa” was established in November 2016, when the tender for the right to conclude the contract for preparation and conduction of the approval procedure by the European Aviation Safety Agency pursuant to requirements of EASA PART-145 was announced.

 “For JSC "Aviasystems", this project was of the particular interest because we had to prepare our client for certification pursuant to the tough European rules amid the maintenance base is located in the Far North with the harsh continental climate, where it is very cold in winter. At the same time, we had to provide abidance with the EASA rules to conduct the work in the open air. For that purpose, a number of procedures and processes were elaborated which allow to provide compliance with the EASA rules”, – shared the experience the First Deputy of the General Director of JSC "Aviasystems" for aviation consulting Sergei Potapov.

The special feature of that project was the fact that during preparation for certification the EASA requirements toward the proving documentation had been significantly changed and became tougher, which resulted in its complete rework.

Upon the audit results, JSC “Aircompany Alrosa” was confirmed as compliant with the EASA PART-145 requirements, and after elimination of minor remarks, in early May 2018, the certificate EASA PART-145 was issued.

In the course of cooperation, the management and specialists of JSC “Aircompany Alrosa” did an enormous work to prepare the company for the certificate to be issued. The upgrade of the production premises had to be conducted, to ensure development and purchase of the special equipment for the work in open air, to prepare the direction personnel and to arrange their training, to purchase the tools and equipment to service the aircraft Boeing 737-700/800 etc.

We are glad that cooperation of our companies allowed to open in Russia, in conditions of the Far North, the maintenance base for Boeing 737-700/800 of the air company Alrosa, which base is fully compliant with the European requirements and which is one of the EASA bases to service the Boeing aircraft, with lies in the extreme north in the world.
