AVIATION AND SPACE SALON "AVIASVIT-XXI"

Within the framework of JSC “Aviasystems” maintenance logistics support (MLS) program for Antonov aircraft in the Russian Federation, experts of the company, led by the General Director D.G. Khoruzhik, invited by the Ukrainian partners from ANTONOV Aeronautical Scientific/Technical Complex, took part in the 7^th International Aviation and Space Salon " AVIASVIT XXI". The salon was held from September 30 till October 4, 2010 in the territory of "Kyiv-Antonov" aerodrome.

The aerospace industry of Ukraine is one of the most hi-tech and demonstrates the most advanced achievements of science and technology. Thanks to the experience of experts, application of advanced technologies and usage of modern equipment, Ukraine can design and manufacture aircrafts, carrier rockets, spaceships, aviation and rocket engines, and radio-electronic equipment.

Participation in the salon allowed the experts of “Aviasystems” to acquaint themselves with current technology achievements in the field of transport aviation, aircrafts designed for transportation of small to heaviest loads ever as well as to appreciate the demonstration flights of airplanes, helicopters and other flying machines.

During the visit, negotiations with manufacturers and potential customers regarding MLS for Antonov aircrafts were held. The experts visited displays of the partnering enterprises widely presented in the air show. Objectives covered by the joint activities of a working group consisting of both Russian and Ukrainian experts (GO "Antonov") were also coordinated.

Research and practice conferences and seminars on topical aerospace subjects as well as on problems of high-tech engineering took place during the event to determine trends and ways of aircraft and astronautics development in the ХХІ century. The delegation of “Aviasystems” took part in a conference organized by GP "Antonov" and devoted to An-148 operation experience and outlooks of Antonov aircrafts development.

"AVIASVIT-ХХI" is not just a demonstration of the Ukrainian aviation industry achievements. The purpose of the exhibition is also development of cooperation between aerospace enterprises, promotion of Ukraine’s production technologies in the world market and popularization of aviation among general public, especially among young people. This year, judging by the number of participants, members of delegations, foreign partners and interested spectators, the objective of the exhibition was achieved.
